Vincheto Di Celarda

In the Vincheto di Celarda Nature Reserve, located in the municipality of Feltre and the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, you have the chance to see some of the typical animal and plant species of the area.

Perfect to visit even with children, this biotope is criss-crossed by a network of easy trails that will take you to explore marshes, ponds and resurgences and to get a close look at deer, roe deer, fallow deer, hares, squirrels and various species of birds, amphibians and reptiles.

Curiosities and tips

  • The name comes from the cultivation during the 19th century of wicker willows, called “vinchi”
  • The nature reserve is managed by the Carabinieri Corps, and educational activities are also conducted here
  • It is a wetland of international interest, and a biogenetic reserve of European interest
