A mountain bike itinerary connecting Arabba to Alleghe, crossing some of the most fascinating landscapes of the Belluno Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An intense and satisfying experience, designed for bikers with good physical and technical preparation, who wish to immerse themselves in an authentic and spectacular environment, far from the most beaten tracks.
An adventure on two wheels among rocky ridges, forests and postcard views, in the heart of the Belluno Dolomites.
The tour starts in Arabba, with a cable car ride up to Porta Vescovo, an exceptional vantage point overlooking the Sella group and Marmolada. From here the route continues at high altitude between dirt tracks and technical climbs, crossing the scenic Crepe Rosse and then descending into the Davedino valley, between solitary mountain huts and passages immersed in the woods.
The itinerary alternates between challenging passages and descents requiring attention, but is well rewarded by unique views of the Pelmo, Civetta and the valleys below. The tour ends in Alleghe, on the shores of the lake, after passing through varied and evocative landscapes, among high altitude meadows, red rocks and ancient alpine villages.
With around 26 km of development, a positive altitude difference of around 1,480 m and a maximum altitude of 2,478 m, and numerous technical sections, the Crepe Rosse MTB Tour is recommended for those who already have experience on alpine trails and are looking for a rewarding challenge in a natural setting of outstanding beauty.
