The Val Fiorentina Mountain Huts Loop is a route best enjoyed with an eyes wide open and the right pace, allowing yourself to be guided by landscapes that change with every turn.
From Pescul, the route climbs towards Fertazza Hut, crossing forests and alpine pastures before reaching one of the most scenic points of the itinerary. Here, the Dolomites reveal their full grandeur, with sharp peaks, sunlit meadows and the quiet atmosphere of the mountains.
The tour continues through Col dei Giai, Malga Fontanafreda and Forcella Pecol, in the heart of Val Fiorentina. Forest roads, open views and traces of rural life accompany the ride, telling the story of places that remain deeply connected to the tradition of alpine farming.
Among the pastures of Palui, Piera de l’Autà and Malga Pien de Vacia, the route alternates more flowing sections with moments that invite you to slow down naturally: to take in the landscape, recognize the surrounding peaks and follow the rhythm of the valley.
In the final part of the tour, the route passes through the villages of L’Andria and Tofol before returning towards Santa Fosca and Pescul. Traditional houses, barns and local architecture add a more intimate dimension to the experience, where nature, memory and mountain life come together.
