A circular route that takes you into the heart of the Belluno Dolomites, where three spectacular valleys meet: Agordino, Val di Zoldo and Val Fiorentina. The Civetta Bike Tour is an exciting itinerary, designed for expert and well-trained bikers, perfect to tackle with e-bike or traditional MTB (but only with good physical and technical preparation).
The tour starts from Piani di Pezzè, easily reached by cable car from Alleghe (recommended to preserve battery power on the 5 km of asphalted ascent), and covers about 25 km of challenging climbs, technical descents and breathtaking panoramic stretches. The track is well marked, with “Civetta Bike Tour” signs all along the route.
You pass through natural environments of great beauty: forests, high-altitude pastures, white roads and paths leading to cosy mountain pastures and refuges where you can take a regenerating break.
From the views of Val di Zoldo, to the summit cross of Cima Fertazza, to the spectacular views of Monte Civetta and Pelmo, each ride offers unique emotions.
The tour touches iconic places such as Malga Pioda, Malga Fontanafredda, Ristoro Fertazza, Col Fioret and the panoramic Ristoro Belvedere, before returning to Alleghe. The downhill stretches require maximum attention and good control of the vehicle, especially the steepest ones near Col dei Baldi.
With a positive height difference of 987 m and a maximum altitude of 2101 m, the route is challenging but rewarding. The 630 Wh battery, if handled moderately, is sufficient to complete the entire loop.
