A inn that tells the story of Valmorel

The Locanda Valmorel is a special place: where tradition is rediscovered and tells the territory in a new way.

Located in the historic building of the former village inn, the Locanda opened its doors in February 2025, under the guidance of Francesca Covre, a young woman who decided to take the plunge with the support of her family.

The idea of reopening this venue was promoted by the Elserino Piol Foundation, with the desire to make it the living heart of the village: a place where residents can gather and where you can always find hospitality and conviviality.

The Locanda manages to blend rustic atmosphere and modern comfort: on the ground floor you will find the bar and the restaurant, while on the first floor there are 5 exclusive sauna rooms. A venue suitable for everyone, which allows you to feel pampered and to renew body and soul.

Some more details that make the difference

The Locanda is designed to be the first meeting point between tourists and the community of Valmorel. An idea highlighted by the stone walls, larch beams, and custom furnishings designed by the Belluno architect Manlio Olivotto.

The kitchen offers simple and tasty foods, which have roots in mountain culinary culture, reinvented with today’s techniques. From grilled cheese to mountain specialties... All classic dishes that bring back memories of family Sundays and that will stay in your mind because they are truly delicious!

The bar offers a selection of local products: wines, coffee, non-alcoholic beverages, and various small bites.
A refined offer with essential flavors, suitable for all occasions... Especially for those who work and need a break, or for travelers setting off and returning.

The establishment is equipped with free Wi-Fi, biomass heating, photovoltaic panels, and a heat recovery system, in accordance with a sustainable and environmentally friendly philosophy.
The activity is very committed to this ethical aspect, and it can be seen everywhere and continuously…
In the choice of products that aim to enhance the entire area: from Valmorel cheeses to those from Valbelluna, from Malga Van cold cuts to local eggs. In short… only local products and 100% quality!

Francesca is also very focused on daily sustainability, as she refuses to use any type of non-recyclable material. An example is the BIO Chic tableware made from palm leaves, which are completely biodegradable…  —So much so that they can be burned like firewood in the larin. Perfect right!? Not to mention the circular economy project behind it, a human and thoughtful gesture.

The Locanda di Valmorel is all this... it is the stones that tell the old history of the inn, it is the green vision that uses technologies capable of looking towards sustainability and the future, and it is the people who experience and enliven it.
And speaking of people… Francesca has decided to be accompanied on this adventure by a strong and professional team –most of whom are young in the kitchen!
In short… both in the dining room and in the kitchen, you will be in the hands of competent and attentive figures, capable of advising you and letting you experience the most suitable gastronomic experience for you with enthusiasm.

It is a venue that puts hospitality at its center... with the discretion and politeness typical of mountain innkeepers, who do not renounce modern services nor attention to the territory.
