We are in Valmorel, a hamlet of Limana (BL) in the heart of the Belluno Prealps. Here lies Casera Vecia, a agritourism business founded a hundred years ago, which today Nicolò runs with dedication.
It offers typical cuisine, focused on quality and sustainability and aims to pass down the peasant values dear to great-grandfather Piero.
The agritourism is open seasonally, on weekends or by reservation. Additionally, it organizes experiences and events at altitude, ideal for those looking to discover the ancestral mountain.

Some more details that make a difference
Casera Vecia was born as a mountain pasture, dedicated to milk production and pasture management. Today it has transformed, but not its identity: it's a complete agricultural business, driven by a modern idea of rurality capable of merging ethical farming, local production, and enhancement of the territory.
Here everything starts from grazing, where Piemontese Fassona live freely for several months a year. The feeding is natural and thus animal welfare is guaranteed. The care of the pasture is still based on the ancient advice of grandfather Tony —perfectly aligned with the most current agroecological views.
The processing is entirely independent and the supply chain is very short: Casera Vecia skillfully produces cold cuts according to the idea of "better done well in small quantities," therefore no intensive exploitation and no compromises on quality! Here you will find only local, authentic, and tasty products.
And there’s more... From 2025 to complete the establishment’s gastronomic offer, the first wine of Valmorel will be available! The result of a heroic vine at 900m carefully nurtured by the business, it represents the last piece of this project. Ambitious, 100% autochthonous, and courageous: this is the wine of Casera Vecia. The perfect accompaniment for traditional dishes and an excellent means to narrate the identity of the mountain through drinking.
