Movie night: Snow Vignettes!

Thursday, February 26 at 8:30 PM we look forward to an evening dedicated to snow: let's celebrate together the passion for sports and the mountains in their various aspects.

We will watch 3 short films that tell different stories, connected by one true passion: snow.

  • Le Moulin des Artistes takes us to Chamonix where Peter and Anati run a workshop where skis are made in a truly interesting place: an old 16th-century mill!

The film tells us how dedicating one's life to art can help us find purpose and overcome difficulties by creating community and resilience, all combined with perfect turns and technique.

  • Simple as a Turn is our second short film that tells the true love of Nicholas Wolken for snowboarding and freeride.

  •  Dig is dedicated to the adventure of Ryland Bell, who takes us to the vast, white Alaska in April 2025, speaking to us about adventure and exploration in the continuous search for new and perfect lines.

Note: the films are in English with Italian subtitles.

The total duration of the screening is about an hour and a half, followed by pizza and beer in company! Book your spot!

Films:

  • Le Moulin des Artistes

A home for free spirits.

There are those who live for their art and those who cannot live without it. In the valley of Chamonix, Peter and Anati run Le Moulin des Artistes, a 16th-century mill, a workshop where skis are made, an art space and a gathering place for free spirits. From Peter's handcrafted wooden skis to Anati's paintings and music, “Le Moulin des Artistes” shows how dedicating one's life to art can help one find purpose, create a community, and overcome difficulties.

  • Simple as a Turn

Dedicated to the essence of snowboarding.

For Nicholas Wolken, turns are much more than the foundation of snowboarding. They are his purest expression. From his competitive career to producing boards specifically designed to make perfect turns, he has spent most of his life in search of that feeling of freedom that only snowboarding can provide. Turning may seem like a simple act, but when mind, body, and board become a perfect unity, simplicity becomes almost supernatural.

  • DIG

A story of extreme exploration.

When you have spent your whole life exploring the most extreme terrains on the face of the earth, finding the perfect line is a daunting task. In April 2025, snowboarder Ryland Bell decided to do just that.  Famous for his extreme descents, the professional snowboarder and part-time fisherman spends the winter exploring the ridges near his home. In April 2025, he decided to venture into those mountains in search of the most challenging line of his life.
