Val de Pol Agricultural Society was founded in Codenzano, a small locality in the municipality of Chies d'Alpago historically linked to vine cultivation.

The project was initiated by Katja Zanon, a sommelier deeply connected to her homeland, with the aim of recovering the ancient family vineyards and bringing to light the winemaking tradition of Codenzano. Together with Gianluca De Min, she restored the terraces and characteristic dry stone walls, replanting the vineyards and focusing particularly on the cultivation of Pinot Noir.

The vineyards are located in a mountainous environment, on clayey-limestone soils and under specific climatic conditions that have allowed the company to develop a production strongly tied to the territory. A large part of the work in the vineyards is done manually, also due to the steep gradient of some plots.

Val de Pol produces various expressions of Pinot Noir from its own vineyards, including Córs, Vigna Corletta, and Frazesca. Over the years, the company's wines have received recognition and attention even at the national level.

Visiting Val de Pol means discovering a small winemaking reality of the Belluno Dolomites and learning about a lesser-known side of Alpago, walking among vineyards, terraces, and dry stone walls and getting acquainted with the history of mountain viticulture in Codenzano.

Guided tastings and the opportunity to learn about the company's vineyards; please contact the company in advance for information and availability.
