The Capanna Passo Valles Refuge is located on the border between Trentino and Veneto and serves as the connection point between the Fiemme Valley and the Falcade area, in Belluno. Originally established as a refreshment point, with simple mountain cuisine, over the years the dishes have evolved while still maintaining the flavors of Trentino and Belluno traditions. For our dishes, we exclusively seek the best products from the region.
The family’s ancient recipes have never changed, from polenta cooked in a traditional copper pot over a wood fire to strudel following the recipe of our great-grandmother from 1933 when we opened the place. Part of the menu is dedicated to research and innovation of seasonal products from small local producers and the processing of herbs, mushrooms, and lichens gathered in our woods.
The refuge is open in both the winter and summer seasons and features a panoramic terrace, a restaurant, and a bar. After a day of hiking, skiing, or biking, you can relax in the garden or the common room, enjoying the tranquil atmosphere.
The refuge also offers cozy alpine-style rooms equipped with all necessary comforts.
Strategic starting point for many itineraries and treks of varying difficulty. From the Passo Valles Hut, along an easy road, which can also be accessed by mountain bike, it is easy to reach the Col Margherita via a comfortable forest road, where you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama of the Dolomites (1.30 hours of walking)
