Built in 1663 by the noble family Zandonella-Dall'Aquila, the palace represents one of the most significant testimonies of the aristocratic architecture of Comelico. The house, which boasted a noble title conferred by the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and had accumulated wealth through the timber trade, created an elegant and cutting-edge residence for the 17th century.

Even today, the palace retains its original charm: the imposing portal made of dark tuff, the yellow tuff frames, and the eagle coat of arms on the façade tell of the family's prestige. Despite the damage caused by the fire in 1874, the exterior has largely remained intact. The interiors, subsequently altered, now host the Agnuldei Museum of Ladin Culture, offering visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the history, traditions, and cultural identity of the territory within a residence rich in charm.
