It was inaugurated on September 13, 1970, on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the foundation of the CAI Section of Carpi and is dedicated to the memory of Captain Manfredo Tarabini Castellani of the Pieve di Cadore Battalion. The building, enlarged in 1980, is a two-story masonry structure, consisting of a dining room with a capacity of 65 indoor seats and 40 outdoor seats, kitchen, restrooms, winter room, and various rooms to accommodate 32 people, of which 22 in bunk beds and 10 on camp beds. Since June 2018, the structure has fully renovated ground floor restrooms.
