With Ester, we wanted to begin the dream of our mother: to open her very own B&B, a place where hospitality is genuine and enveloping.
We named the bedroom The stua, a small tribute to one of the most important rooms in the traditional Belluno house. The “stua” was, in fact, the coziest and warmest room in the house: this room received light from two windows, where flowerpots with carnations, geraniums, and yellow everlasting flowers were always present on the sills.
Wood-paneled, with a ceiling inlaid with a beautiful compass rose – and the floor made of larch boards; protected by the Lord, the crucifix that never leaves, and with the parents' bed flanked by holy water fonts and watched over by an antique pendulum clock: Ester's stua is a true treasure trove of local history.
