Francis of Assisi on the eighth centenary of his death
March 6 - October 31, 2026 - ValbellunaCultural and spiritual events in the city of Feltre
Discover moreConference dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Civic Museum of Belluno, curated by Orietta Ceiner, former director of the Historical Archive of Belluno, and Carlo Cavalli, curator of the Civic Museum of Belluno.
Compared to other Venetian cities, the establishment of the civic museum of Belluno occurs late, after national unification has fully taken place, but it is the result of very similar dynamics, at the intersection of private collecting and the growth of a civic identity.
In the background, the emergence of legislation and the first bodies dedicated to the preservation of what we now call cultural heritage, which the new museum will be called to safeguard.

She has studied the archival sources of Belluno for decades and has been part of the Scientific Committee of the journal "Archivio Storico di Belluno Feltre e Cadore" since the 1980s, where she publishes short essays and reviews.
She has to her credit editions of archival sources and essays on historical research.
