TRUTH IS ANOTHER SCENE

What we believe, what we see, what we choose to call true: are we really sure that truth is still the foundation of our convictions?

As part of Cortina Teatro 2026, Umberto Galimberti, one of the most authoritative voices in contemporary philosophical thought, accompanies the audience in a profound and provocative reflection on the Adventures of Truth: a journey through the history of ideas to question one of the most urgent issues of our time.

From the roots of Greek philosophy, with Plato and his search for the essence of things, to the age of technology, the concept of truth undergoes radical transformations. Today, in a society dominated by images, words can manipulate and what works seems to be worth more than what is right, distinguishing the true from the probable becomes an increasingly complex challenge.

What does it mean to tell the truth?

Who establishes what is real?

And what are the consequences of a world where what is true no longer matters, but what produces results does?

With his clear and incisive gaze, Galimberti invites us to transcend apparent certainties, to question the most deeply rooted beliefs, and to rediscover the value of critical thinking.

Because questioning truth is not just a philosophical exercise: it is a necessity to understand the present and navigate the future.
