Stage of Giro d'Italia

On the climb that allowed Marco Pantani to win the Giro d'Italia for amateurs in 1992, on May 29, the professionals will arrive  with the decisive stage for the final classification of the Giro d'Italia 2026

The stage will start from Feltre and after a ride over the hills of Val Belluna will reach Agordo to tackle the ascent of Passo Duran and then in rapid succession, Passo Staulanza, passing through Coi di Zoldo, the feared Passo Giau, one of the most iconic climbs of the "Corsa Rosa," and Passo Falzarego before the long descent to Caprile with the 4 km valley road leading to Alleghe, where in the town center there is a sudden left turn to enter the last 5 km of the final climb.

The climb to Piani di Pezzè begins in the center of the town of Alleghe, measures 4.8 km, overcomes a total elevation gain of 472m and has gradients exceeding 18%.

The most demanding points are represented by two very hard walls: "La Riva de Col de Mies" a steep section of 500m positioned in the middle of the climb with gradients of 20% and "la Riva de Coi" the final slope of about 550m that leads to the finish line of the Piani.

Alleghe has planned a series of events and attractions leading up to the big stage on May 29. On May 23, there will be a meeting with sports journalist Enrico Pastonesi at the Congress Center. An evening dedicated to sports with a story from the journalist accompanied by music entitled "W La Fuga"

For those arriving on the day before, there will be more opportunities to enjoy the eve of the arrival in the company of athletes and fans. It will start in the morning at Piani di Pezzè, with an experience dedicated to kids called "Summer Eco Tour"

The evening of the 28th will feature the Caprile district of Alleghe where a party will break out at the middle school gym from 6:30 p.m. with "Aspettando la Notte Rosa" with local gastronomic specialties and DJs from Alleghe Hockey. This will just be the appetizer for the big "Notte Rosa" : a big party with the exclusive participation of the "Peter Pan Pink Power" Team, a spectacular all-female entertainment along with the radio staff in action.

May 29 is the big day! Two moments of great celebration in Alleghe! In the village at Vallazza, there will be the presence of the Giroland Village open from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Giroland will be near the large parking areas made available for the public attending the race. At Piani di Pezzè on the finish line, there will be further attractions:

The Radio Peter Pan Truck will be present with a giant screen to follow the entire race and the party of the radio DJs.

Additionally, during the day the village "Summer Eco Tour" will be open again

Another event will be the arrival of the professionals of the Giro E expected at Piani di Pezzè between 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. with the parade of past champions and famous personalities. The Giro E will start late in the morning from Agordo and will climb the Duran and Staulanza passes before the final ascent to Piani.

Feltre, the starting city of the stage, also has a rich calendar of events for those who want to experience the departure village day.
