Show "Romeo and Juliet. A Story of Bandits"

3rd appointment of the event "Autumn at the Theatre in Comelico 2026".

The company Il Satiro Teatro presents the show titled "Mato de guera," featuring Gigi Mardegan.

World War I is used as a starting point for an analysis of the futility of war.

The play is set in the 1930s in the Sant’Artemio asylum in Treviso, where soldier Ugo Vardanega, who emerged from the conflict with his mind shattered by the horror of war, but also with a terrible and unconfessable burden on his soul, will confront his dreadful memories, ultimately becoming aware that he is afflicted with an incurable disease: memory.

And so he will decide to remember everything, without pretense, in a lucid despair that will be his burden for his entire existence.

Show by Gian Domenico Mazzocato with Gigi Mardegan.

Directed by Roberto Cuppone, sets by Stefano Merlo, costumes by Antonia Munaretti, and musical choices by Remigio Biral.
