See Gellner

Included in the review Beyond The Peaks, from October 11 to 21, the photographic exhibition "Seeing Gellner" will take place at Spazio Da Rosolina in Borgo Piave, featuring the architecture of the former Eni Village and Cortina, depicted through the illustrations of Francesco Nardi and the photographs of Denise Rosato.

The exhibition prompts reflection on the fact that interpreting Gellner's architecture through illustration does not mean simplifying it but rather demonstrating that his language is still contemporary, that it does not need to be translated: the illustrations of Francesco Nardi, alongside the photographs of Denise Rosato, open up a path for Gellner toward a broader audience.

The exhibition Seeing Gellner is both an invitation and a statement: his architectures have always been there, visible to anyone who has passed through them — yet seldom looked at for what they are.

This exhibition offers a new perspective, made up of signs and images, to observe with a different viewpoint what there was to see.

Francesco Nardi

Graduated in Design, Visual Communication, and Multimedia at Sapienza University of Rome, he has developed a personal vision of design since childhood, shaped by summer trips to the Eni Village in Borca di Cadore: the architectures of Edoardo Gellner and Carlo Scarpa, the carefully curated interior design, have left an indelible mark on his journey.

During his university years, the study of the Memphis Group marks a turning point in his education, leading him to integrate vibrant forms and colors into his visual language.

It is in his thesis "Development of an Integrative Communication System for the Enhancement of Cultural Sites in the City of Rome," a wayfinding project to guide citizens and tourists in urban space — that he begins to develop his first vector illustrations of the city.

Enhancing cultural heritage is both a goal and a passion.

In 2018, he created www.cosavederearoma.com, a portal dedicated to the conscious discovery of the city. In 2021, he launched the illustrated project "What to See in Rome," followed by "What to See in Milan" (2023) and "What to See in the Dolomites" (2025).

In recent years, he has collaborated with clients and institutions including: Valentino, Laura Biagiotti, Rome Capital, the French Embassy in Italy, and MAXXI.

Denise Rosato

Denise Rosato is a freelance photographer based in Rome, specializing in editorials, portraits, social media content, and event reportage.

She has a personal artistic vision rooted in contemporary visual culture and has collaborated with various realities in the capital, building a solid network within the Roman creative landscape.

Some of her shots have been featured in prominent international publications such as Vogue Italia and Vogue Singapore, and selected by magazines such as Broad and Collateral for publications on their social channels.

She has participated in international collective exhibitions, including Collective in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria organized by Irene Ferri and Arizona, ImageNation Paris at Galerie Joseph Le Palais in Paris, and the Photopolis Festival at the Kapralos Museum in Agrinio.

Her most recent achievement was being selected for "Color of Noise," the photobook by Ephemere Tokyo presented at the Kyotographie Photobook Fair 2026.

The exhibition provides educational credits for architects.
