Since the autumn of 1943, the Belluno mountains became one of the fundamental strategic areas in the military chessboard of the Second World War. Among the consequences of this situation was the birth of a strong and rooted Resistance movement. On the Feltrine Summits, one of the largest partisan brigades in Italy had its operational base.
The historian and teacher at the G. Dal Piaz High School, Marcello Della Valentina, presents the book Nicolotto da Celarda, the first partisan of the Belluno mountains. The meeting will take place at the Caffè Letterario ENAIP in Borgo Ruga No. 40 of the Tina Merlin Campus in Feltre.
The work offers an interesting in-depth look at the role the Feltrine Summits played during the Resistance period, through the historical and critical lens of Marcello Della Valentina. It will be an opportunity to once again recognize the value of our places, a theater of civil resilience and an expression of human commitment.
At the end of the meeting, there will be a convivial moment coordinated by the students of the hotel school, for which registration is necessary via WhatsApp (tel. 3358414153)
