The Ecomuseum of the Biois Valley was established and officially recognized by the Veneto Region in 2021 and involves the municipalities of Canale d’Agordo, Falcade, and Vallada Agordina.

The shape of the Valley and the historical-geographical context unite the three municipalities in terms of identity, language, folklore, and culture.

The ecomuseum is an entity that develops in the open air, where the main actor is a resident of an area who, together with a community, takes care of, enhances, and promotes a peculiarity of the surrounding environment.

Often, the theme is linked to the history of the past, traditions, rural context, and language.

The idea arises from the need to safeguard the history of a place. Thus, the combination of territory and community forms the basis of ecomuseums that began to spread in Italy from the 1990s, reaching around 230 current entities scattered throughout the country.

The two days of open day at the sites of the Ecomuseum of the Biois Valley will feature a cultural orienteering activity with a corresponding passport to stamp at each site.

The initiative includes free guided tours of about half an hour, starting at the Museum in Canale and the churches in Falcade and Vallada Agordina.

Additionally, each participant will receive a "passepartout" to collect stamps for each completed itinerary and a multiple-choice quiz.

At the end of the initiative, by presenting the card and quiz answers at the Albino Luciani Museum in Canale d’Agordo, final awards will be held in the Lina Zandò "Bolda" Hall.

Below are all the meeting points for the tours during the two days, after which participants are expected to move independently to continue their visits:
