Madre Teresa: Vita, Spiritualità e e Messaggio

Valbelluna May 9 - May 27, 2026 09:00

Locality: Chiostro del Seminario Gregoriano, Belluno

Valbelluna
Madre Teresa: Vita, Spiritualità e e Messaggio

The Cloister of the Gregorian Seminary hosts, from May 9 to May 27, the exhibit “Mother Teresa. Life, spirituality and message”, curated by the Mother Teresa Center. The exhibition offers a journey dedicated to the figure of Saint Teresa of Kolkata, the Albanian-born nun who was born in Skopje in 1910 and passed away in Kolkata in 1997.

The initiative aims to retrace not only the biographical milestones, but also the inner dimension of a woman who chose to live among the poorest. The narrative unfolds like a pathway that traverses a human and spiritual experience, marked by commitment in the streets of the former capital of British India, where Mother Teresa worked for many years among situations of extreme poverty.

Through documents and testimonies, the exhibition conveys the significance of a work considered of great magnitude, also focusing on the personal writings of the nun that emerged after her death. The exhibition route also recalls some symbols linked to her figure, including the white sari edged in blue, which has become an identifiable sign of her service over time.

The inauguration will take place on Saturday, May 9, at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Gregorian Seminary. Paola Bergamini, editor-in-chief of the magazine Tracce, and Piergiorgio Da Rold, former director of Insieme si può, will be speaking.

Among the scheduled events, on Friday, May 15, at 6:30 p.m. there will be a moment that combines music and testimonies: the choir concert Arcobaleno will be accompanied by a message from the president of the Movement for Life, Marina Casini, and the interventions of Sister Margherita and Sister Albina, Missionaries of Charity in Milan.

The initiative is promoted by the Life Help Center and the Movement for Life of Belluno, with the patronage of the Municipality and the collaboration of several other entities, including the Diocesan Caritas of Belluno-Feltre, Network Schools, and Unicef.

Free entry.
