Le Fontane Raccontano

The initiative will take place on Saturday, June 20 at 5:00 p.m. at the "Mons. Savio" Hall in Cadola, proposing a reflection on the role that fountains have played in the development of communities, highlighting not only their practical function but also their historical, cultural, and identity value. The research conducted by the authors collects documents, testimonies, and memories that allow for the reconstruction of events, traditions, and aspects of social life related to these artifacts, contributing to the preservation of a heritage of knowledge that belongs to the memory of the territory.

Enriching the program will be the intervention of naturalistic and environmental communicator Anacleto Boranga, who will offer an in-depth look at fountains in both popular and aristocratic contexts, highlighting their different functions and meanings throughout history. His contribution will allow for the inclusion of the local reality in a broader perspective, emphasizing how these places have represented, in different times and environments, essential points of reference for people's lives.

The presentation of the volume will constitute the central moment of the event, offering the public the opportunity to learn about the research journey developed by the authors and to explore stories, curiosities, and testimonies that narrate the relationship between the population and the fountains in the area. The meeting is thus configured as a moment of comparison and rediscovery of one’s roots, aimed at strengthening awareness of the importance of protecting and enhancing the local historical and cultural heritage.
