Discover moreAfter a brief introduction on the topic, the group will move from Piazza Calvi towards Via Cesarol, Viale della Vittoria, and Via Riva, pausing to discuss the names of the streets and their meanings.
The route will continue passing through some significant locations, including Val, Angià, and Vila.
Through Via Pecol, the path will ascend towards Mondaron up to the locality of Tambar, and then reach Val de Pena Auta, where it will be possible to admire the majestic centuries-old silver firs.
The walk will continue towards the Sanctuary dedicated to Saint John Paul II, then descend passing through Mirabello and the Busa delle Strie, until reaching Via Rivadò and returning to Piazza Calvi.
During the route, some of the Ladin toponyms of Lorenzago will be seen, including Via Centa, Busa de le Anguane, Gortina, Lavinà, and Pianta Grossa,
At 5:00 p.m., a concluding meeting is scheduled in Piazza Calvi with Gianpietro De Donà, local historian and author, together with Lina De Donà Fabbro, of the Vocabulary of the Ladin language of Oltrepiave, who will delve into the history and meaning of the toponymy and the places visited during the walk.
The meeting will conclude with a moment of open dialogue among the speakers Gianpietro De Donà, Angela Bosin, a participant in the artistic research program Removed Content 2025–2026 curated by Chiara Trivelli, and Emilio Fabbro, representative of CAI – Lorenzago Section in the July 30 Committee, with space dedicated to questions and contributions from the audience.
