Cagnati trainato dai suoi cani attraverso il grande nord

“Tijkko, the white dream in the great north” is the second meeting of the Emotion Mountain review organized by the Pro Loco Pieve Castionese.

The protagonist will be Anselmo Cagnati, a multifaceted figure and deep connoisseur of the mountains. Climber, ski mountaineer, and extreme snowboarder, expert in snow and avalanches, glaciology, and climate change.

He worked at the Arabba Avalanche Center and has been part of several expeditions in polar regions.

He is the author of numerous scientific and popular publications and is a member of the Italian Mountain Writers Group.

In 2022, he won the Special Prize Dolomiti Unesco as part of the Pelmo d’Oro.

For many years now, he has dedicated himself to exploring the Arctic regions by means of dog sledding.

With Anselmo, we will undertake a poetic and fascinating journey through the silences and vast spaces of the boreal forests.

We will see how climate change is altering environments and the dramatic consequences faced by indigenous populations.
