The Valparola Lake is a small but picturesque body of water located at the top of the Valparola Pass in the municipality of Livinallongo del Col di Lana in Alto Agordino, Province of Belluno, Veneto Region, surrounded by the stunning peaks of the Northern Dolomites (the Lagazuoi that dominates it, the peaks of the Settsass Group, the Sass de Stria, etc.), the small lake is situated on a green plateau in a truly charming and bucolic setting.
The lake is easily accessible on foot from the Valparola Pass (which separates Livinallongo del Col di Lana from La Villa in Val Badia), following the signs for the CAI Trail 24; the lake is also clearly visible from the Pass and can be reached in five minutes from the road.
