Valbelluna is a land where green reigns supreme, with a view of the magnificent Belluno Dolomites.
It is here that the “red rock” of the Prealps becomes home to our vineyards; this is the place where inspiration, intuition, and imagination meet a welcoming and passionate family that decides to make a daily bet on the ancestral vocation of a territory.
A “getaway into nature,” a refuge where time is reclaimed and follows the rhythm of nature is the project born on July 23, 2013, in Colderù.
What until then had been defined by Paolo Remini and Alessandro Rigo as a beautiful passion, bringing friends and relatives together around a table to taste and celebrate, soon transformed into a real job.
A constant employment that requires the energies of the whole family embracing with knowledge and respect those places that are called home.
Tenuta Crodarossa belongs to a network of winemakers firmly established in the Belluno area where tradition is pursued without ever neglecting the search for and contagion of the “new,” using the most modern techniques of viticulture and winemaking to maximize the expressive power of the grapes.
Sustainability in the Field: PIWI Wines
If Crodarossa is a project that speaks of family, roots, and passion, it can only look to the future with a careful perspective, writing today’s choices for the best expected results not only for the wine industry but also for the environment.
For this reason, our winery is registered in the network of PIWI winemakers Veneto, a meeting point and gathering place for professional growers and enthusiasts that allows for proper information on products but above all on the philosophy of greater environmental sustainability, both as a protection of farmers and the environment and the final consumer.
Fungi Resistant Vines: Pilzwiderstandfähig
PIWI is the research that goes beyond organic, allowing for the complete or nearly complete elimination of fungicidal treatments and thus enabling the production of high-quality wines with total respect for the surrounding environment, reducing not only plant diseases in the strictest sense but also decreasing interventions in the vineyard, resulting in CO2 savings.
All our white wines, sparkling wines, and still wines are chosen from naturally resistant grape varieties such as Solaris – from which our sparkling Brut “Derù” and the IGT Veneto “Col del Jevero” are born – and Souvigner Gris – also made into Extra Brut sparkling “Vinti3” and IGT Veneto “Sasera.”
