The structure consists of: Main area on the Ground Floor “COVERED PLATFORM” of about 500 sqm ideal for organizing parties and events. Generally, the room is connected to the outside on two long sides where there are retractable awnings that can be lowered at any time. Wooden building “KITCHEN/BAR” located on the north side and also on the ground floor, consisting of 4 rooms, namely: bar area with the folding window towards the “COVERED PLATFORM”, main kitchen area, secondary kitchen area, and storage room. Basement where the restrooms, boiler room, a storage room for the structure, and a second storage room not available for the Section Alpini of Chies d'Alpago are located. Large outdoor playground adjacent to the southwest side, immersed in greenery at the foot of the Church of San Martino where the little ones can have fun.

HISTORY OF THE MULTIFUNCTIONAL STRUCTURE OF SAN MARTINO D’ALPAGO We begin by noting that this structure, which we see today in its entirety, was born step by step and is the result of the work and determination of the San Martino district, now represented by the APS Gruppo Giovani San Martino d'Alpago. Previously, the Sagra (the main event organized) and various other festivals and events were held in the squares and bars, then in the historic Concordia square where an old greenhouse was set up. In the early 90s, the San Martino district, with the idea of creating a more suitable central area for hosting festivals and events, donated the necessary money to the municipality for the purchase of the area to be used for this purpose and carried out both financially and operationally the necessary work to form the multifunctional concrete platform that we now have under our feet, thus transferring here the November Sagra, the "Festa del Forment" in July, and many other activities created over time. After about ten years, buoyed by the success of the platform, construction began in 2000/2001 on fixed wooden kitchens, which, it is important to emphasize, were entirely built by volunteers, mainly locals but also people from outside the village who have always helped and supported us and whom we will never stop thanking. In 2007, in collaboration with the municipality and the Alpini Section of Chies, and also thanks to a European contribution, it was possible to extend the platform southward to create warehouses, a heating plant, and bathrooms with showers in the basement. In the following years, tired of setting up temporary tents and structures, more as a joke than seriously, we dreamed of completing everything with a fixed structure that would cover the entire uncovered area, and in 2014, perhaps a bit crazy... but not so much... the Group proposed a draft project to the municipal administration that could only be realized in exchange for a substantial contribution. Fortune had it that just a few weeks after making the project proposal to the administration, the Region issued a call that was just right for our case, and in just over a week, we managed to finalize the definitive project that allowed us, by coming second in the ranking, to obtain significant assistance that, when added to the collaboration of the Gruppo Giovani San Martino d'Alpago, the municipality, some local businesses, and BTP Sas di Barattin Silvano & C. who, enthusiastic about the project, transferred that trust and security necessary to embark on this adventure culminating in the structure we see today, inaugurated on November 3, 2018. All this, however, is thanks to all those who over the years have been part of this wonderful Group, as everything stems from our proposals and desire to act. The Gruppo Giovani San Martino d’Alpago
