The departure is located at the 3rd hairpin bend of Passo Staulanza, on the Selva di Cadore side towards Val di Zoldo, where on the left there is a large parking lot. The itinerary that leads to Rifugio Città di Fiume is also suitable for beginners and allows you to enjoy a splendid view of the most famous peaks of the Dolomites. The path can be traversed both on foot and with snowshoes, extends under the massive Pelmo and once you reach the hut, allows you to observe: Pelmo, Marmolada, Croda da Lago, Lastoi del Formin, and Civetta. The first destination is Malga Fiorentina from where you can already see the first panoramic views of the Val Fiorentina, from here you continue towards Città di Fiume keeping to the right: the complete route takes about 1 hour of walking. Upon reaching the Refuge, it is recommended to continue for a short stretch to the right until Forcella Forada, where you can experience the thrill of being just a few steps away from the walls of Monte Pelmo.
For the more experienced, once you reach the Refuge, there is the opportunity to continue towards Malga Prendera where you can enjoy a day in the midst of the spectacular winter scenery.
