Val Canzoi is a magnificent environmental island that serves as a backdrop to some of the most beautiful trails of the surrounding mountains. It exemplifies the landscape variety of this sector of the World Heritage. The Orsera nature trail, fully accessible, is one of the very few easy routes in this area that features typically pre-Alpine landforms, with elongated ridges that are not easily accessible, cliffs topped with soft, grassy peaks, deeply carved valleys, and gorges. Very interesting from an environmental and ecological point of view, the route offers a magnificent overall view of some of the most wild and intact areas of the Belluno Dolomites and the Feltrine Peaks, in the UNESCO Dolomites System 3 "Pale di San Martino, San Lucano, Dolomiti Bellunesi, Vette Feltrine." It is one of the mapped routes within the "Dolomiti Accessibili" project promoted by the Dolomiti UNESCO Foundation.
