Sentiero del Sabbadalt, Piazza 11 gennaio 1945 - 32010 Tambre (BL) IT +39 331 4400840 info@prolocotambre.it www.prolocotambre.it

You depart from the small square of Pianon where a passage between the houses marks the beginning of a long descent that takes you to Lavina de Sora. Today it's a cemented and paved road, yesterday it was a path connecting the valley of Borsoia and the steep slopes of Gusion, used by the locals to reach the meadows and the stables where the activities of grazing and mowing took place. You descend past the fountain and continue to the right on Via Caotes for a few meters. At the first fork (Carere), you keep left and after a short stretch of dirt road, the steep descent begins first on cement and then on asphalt, which ends at the intersection with the state road Puos-Tambre, to be crossed with care. A few meters away, on the left, the gap in the guardrail indicates the shortcut to follow to exit back onto the state road, which should be followed until the next bend where the beautiful Fontana delle Lavine invites you to take a small break. After crossing the road, you ascend right to the scenic village of Sabbadalt and continue on the stretch that from this point on goes into the forest of Sabbadalt, following the Borsoia stream up to the spring in the Caotes area, at the foot of Val Salatis. The abundant water that flowed freely on the surface until the seventies, forming a small mirror of fresh water, has been almost completely trapped and channeled, bringing water to the lower area of Alpago. You then head back to Pianon, taking the paved road that crosses the lush beech forest of Bosco delle Fratte.
