Path that first follows the Cordevole stream, then leads into the "Monti del Sole" Nature Reserve, a place of extraordinary beauty for both the flora and fauna it holds.
ACCESS The starting point is located at the church of San Gottardo, reachable both from the road that runs alongside the Vedana charterhouse and from the one that ascends from the locality of Ponte Mas. Parking is free and without reserved spots.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PATH Leaving the church of San Gottardo behind, take the road that, with an asphalted descent, leads along the Cordevole stream. The route continues following the stream along an asphalted road surrounded by meadows and trees. Upon reaching a signboard indicating the start of the “Monti del Sole” Nature Reserve, the road becomes unpaved with gravel. From here, continue for about 1.7 km, amidst the woods, until reaching the locality of Salet, where some buildings are managed by the forest carabinieri. For those who wish, it is possible to continue for about 1.5 km until reaching the bank of the Cordevole. Along the way, it is possible to observe grazing horses and the local fauna and flora, often marked with specific indications. There are also picnic areas with tables and benches where one can stop, particularly near the Carabinieri buildings and in the preceding section.
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT AND NOTES A suitable stroller for uneven terrain (off-road wheels) and a small wheel.
