The Wild Cimbro is the most adventurous route of the Cansiglio Bike Day, designed for those who want to experience an authentic connection with nature.
It extends for about 38 km with 860 meters of positive elevation gain, combining gravel roads, dirt paths, and sections immersed in the woods. This is not a purely asphalt route: here, the territory is the main character.
It is a trail that alternates:
- compact forest roads
- smooth dirt sections
- passages immersed in the Cansiglio forest
The surface is generally rideable, but it requires:
- a minimum of technique
- good effort management
- a suitable bike (gravel or MTB recommended)
- intermediate level cyclists, who already have a minimum of training
- those who use gravel or MTB (recommended for safely tackling dirt roads)
- those who love less trodden paths, through woods, forest roads, and silence
- those who want to experience the event in a more adventurous and less “competitive” way
This is not the ideal path for:
- absolute beginners
- road racing bikes
- those looking for a completely paved trail
