Parco della Rimembranza

Valbelluna

Valbelluna
Parco della Rimembranza

The Rimembranza Park of Feltre was inaugurated on May 24, 1924, on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of Italy's entry into World War I.
Its name comes from an initiative by the Ministry of Education that invited Italian schools to commemorate the fallen of the conflict by planting a tree for each soldier who died, each identified by a plaque. In Feltre, about eighty trees were planted, in memory of the fallen from Feltre.

In 1934, the busts of Vittorio Emanuele II and Garibaldi were added, and the entrance to the Park was created with a wrought iron gate.

Subsequently, the park took on the role of a public garden, and in 1999, a monument dedicated to the fallen of the 7th Alpine Regiment and the "Feltre" Battalion was placed there.
