Monte Faloria
Cortina
Features
The accessible viewpoint of Monte Faloria, at 2123 m in altitude, is an impressive spur extending over the Ampezzo basin and offers a spectacular view of Cortina d’Ampezzo and the most famous peaks of the World Heritage Site. From up here, one can admire the beautiful mountains that crown Cortina: the Cristallo group, Croda Rossa, Pomagagnon, Tofane, Croda da Lago, Becco di Mezzodì, but the peaks of Pelmo, Civetta, Marmolada, and the Sennes group, all the way to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, are also clearly visible. This magnificent natural terrace is directly reachable from the center of Cortina d’Ampezzo thanks to the Faloria cable car. It is one of the mapped points within the "Accessible Dolomites" project promoted by the Dolomiti UNESCO Foundation.
