Alleghe is also known as the town of Sundials.
Painted on the buildings in the center, there are as many as 16 sundials that tell the time. 14 of these can be found along the route called "The Way of the Sundials" Two are “natural” sundials, represented by mountains that indicate a particular moment of the day or year.
Of particular interest is the barely visible one on the south side of the Parochial Church of the "Italico" type, which allows for accurate dating.
On the day of 1771 when the great landslide of Piz gave rise to Lake Alleghe
Today, the sundials are connected by a path that allows for an easy walk to observe almost all of them from the streets of the town.
The municipality, the Church of San Biagio, the elementary schools, and Via De Gasperi are the points most easily reachable from the center where some sundials can be observed
