Lago di Auronzo - percorso accessibile
Cadore - Tre Cime - Comelico
Features
Loop trail in the presence of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, which runs along the shores of Lake Auronzo and allows you to admire its colors in all seasons. A place suitable for everyone, particularly families due to the presence of the beach and playground.
ACCESS The starting point is located at the Bucintoro bar and restaurant, on the shores of Lake Auronzo. There are numerous parking spaces, and there is a spot reserved for the disabled.
DESCRIPTION OF THE TRAIL Starting from the parking lot at Bar Bucintoro, head towards the bridge over the Ansiei River, cross it, then turn left. From here, the path continues on a well-maintained dirt road, suitable for pushchairs, running along the right bank of the lake. After about 1400m, you will encounter a bridge on the left which we recommend taking to reach the left bank. Alternatively, it is possible to continue for another 1000m until the dam, which is crossable. Here we consider the loop route that crosses the bridge in the center of the lake. Once crossed, you will find yourself on the cycle path along the left bank. The surface is mostly coarse gravel and requires a small wheel to navigate. After some ups and downs, passing next to the Auronzo ice stadium, you will return to Bucintoro. Near the beach, there is a playground and an accessible fishing area.
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT AND NOTES Along the left bank, the trail can also be done with a pushchair. If you want to take the loop, a wheelchair with off-road wheels and a small wheel is necessary. It is recommended to always do the loop counterclockwise to tackle the steeper sections on the return, downhill. The loop can be extended by crossing over the dam. It should be noted that a stretch of about 1 km must be traveled on the state road with various crossings and ups and downs on the sidewalks before you can take the bike path (indications after the gas station)
