Laghetto delle Peschiere
Alleghe - Falcade - Zoldo
Features
Valley trail that allows you to discover the unspoiled San Lucano Valley, away from the more well-known circuits of the Dolomites. The valley is nestled between the wild Pale di San Lucano and the imposing walls of the Agner.
ACCESS The starting point is located just after the village of Taibon Agordino, following the signs for Valle di San Lucano. It is accessible only by private vehicles. You can park in the Ai Vanti area, near the hydroelectric power station. Parking is free and without reserved spots.
TRAIL DESCRIPTION Starting from the Ai Vanti area, near the power station, cross the asphalted bridge and take the path to the Laghetto delle Peschiere, marked by a specific sign. The trail begins with a steep section with uneven ground, but very short (about 5 m), then continues into the woods, where there is another uneven ramp, also brief. Continuing, you will follow the Tegnàs stream on a new bike path with coarse, loose gravel. After about 1 km, there is a short ramp with loose gravel where the assistance of an accompanying person is necessary. Upon reaching the bridge in the Peschiere area, there is one last ascent on uneven ground to reach the equipped picnic area with barbecue and the Laghetto delle Peschiere. Around the lake, it is possible to take a loop walk, recently rebuilt and made fully accessible.
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT AND NOTES Suitable stroller for uneven terrain (off-road wheels) and a wheel. Assistance from an accompanying person is necessary. As an alternative, from the departure point, you can take the asphalted road (being careful of cars) that leads to the bridge in the Peschiere area and then ride down the bike path, to avoid facing the uphill ramps. It is also possible to leave the car at the bridge in the Peschiere area and go directly to the lake.
