Features

Unique path that allows you to admire artistic creations and uncommon plant varieties in the Belluno area, such as the orchid.

ACCESS The starting point is located at the church of Sant'Antonio Abate in Bardies, in Mel di Borgo Valbelluna. The nearest parking is at the sports field, about 500 meters away; it is a free parking area, with no reserved spots.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PATH Starting from the church of Bardies, head north, along the Rimonta stream. Continue along the bank of the stream until you reach the new bypass of Lentiai, which you cross via an underpass (the road surface is made of gravel and coarse pebbles, making it difficult to start the path; also, assistance is required for the climb). Keeping to the left beside the Rimonta stream, follow the signs for the Nature Trail Loop. After a meadow, you arrive at a dense forest, then continue north. The path turns right, and after a small woods, you reach a field at the edge of which is the Canopet shelter: here, turn right and shortly after re-enter the forest. After crossing a small bridge, turn right and then left following a dirt road. Upon reaching the intersection with the bypass, continue retracing your steps along the route taken previously.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT AND NOTES Suitable wheelchair for uneven terrain (off-road wheels) and a swivel wheel. The support of a companion is necessary. This itinerary can only be traversed when the ground is dry, as it mainly develops on dirt tracks in a humid environment. Along the path, there are roots of plants that make it difficult for wheelchairs to pass; moreover, at the beginning and end of some walkways, there are logs that require the help of a companion.
