The CAI Section of Feltre, founded in 1892, is one of the historic alpine realities of Veneto and holds a deep bond with the Dolomiti Feltrine, unique for their beauty, biodiversity, and cultural heritage.
With over a century of activity, CAI Feltre has always promoted conscious and respectful mountain exploration through excursions, mountaineering courses, climbing, ski mountaineering, and hiking, aimed at members of all ages. Special attention is given to young people with the Youth Mountaineering group, which guides children and adolescents in discovering the mountain environment in an educational and safe manner.
Among the main activities of the Section is the care and maintenance of the local trail network and the management of important alpine facilities. Among these stands out the Rifugio Giorgio Dal Piaz (1,993 m), a privileged gateway to the Belluno Dolomites National Park, and a starting point for numerous panoramic excursions.
CAI Feltre is also a cultural reference point for the territory: it organizes themed evenings, meetings with climbers, screenings, exhibitions, and environmental awareness activities. It unites a passion for mountaineering, social commitment, and environmental protection, keeping alive the original spirit of the Italian Alpine Club.
