Colle del Tiglio is a modest agricultural company in the heart of Valpiana (Limana, BL). Nestled among the Belluno Prealps, it’s a place out of the ordinary, rooted in a Social Project – it was, in fact, the former San Damiano Cooperative. Today, it is managed by a couple of young entrepreneurs from Belluno, who since 2021 have been pursuing their radical philosophy of sustainable livestock farming and dairy production.
What can you find here? First of all, a coherent and minimal way of living, where one collaborates with nature – does not exploit it – in total respect for the land, animals, and raw materials.
The business is open year-round, the point of sale is on-site, and it is advisable to call and book, as their cheeses are renowned throughout the province and sell out quickly!

Colle del Tiglio was conceived for the rehabilitation of individuals through contact with nature by Spiga d’Oro of Treviso. Even now, Alice and Alessandro – despite the activity changing form – collaborate with them, maintaining the essence of the past and supporting a vision of the mountains as a tool for therapy and a source of balance.
Their production is certified organic throughout the supply chain: from agricultural treatment to the semi-wild breeding of their brown alpine cows, from the extraction of raw materials to their sustainable disposal, from autonomous cheese-making to customer sales...
An added value that enhances the worth of the products – already iconic and unique – and justifies the high average price.
The crown jewel is their organic cheeses: living products with a sharp and memorable taste. Depending on the season, they sell soft, semi-hard, and aged cow cheeses and fresh dairy products. Each of these is unique, a testament to the passion, effort, and experimental work behind every piece. Additionally, the cured meats produced in a micro-batch also adhere to a precise ethic, using traditional techniques and without additives. In short, everything reflects the commitment to sustainability and showcases the meticulous care that Alice and Alessandro take.
