Have you ever seen a meadow covered in daffodils? Here’s a beautiful ridge walk through the pastures and meadows that turn white in spring.
Leave your car in the small parking lot of the Col d’Artent chalet, which serves as an information point and refreshment area open on summer weekends, and follow the easy dirt road up to Malga Garda.
Don't let the stunning views that unfold with each step distract you too much, and continue along a wonderful up-and-down trail, all at altitude, until you reach the agritourism Malga Mariech.
On your way, you'll encounter a few old shelters and the Capitel de Garda with its picnic area. A stop to refresh is a must: from these beautiful pastures on Mount Cesen, you dominate the Veneto plain with Valdobbiadene and the UNESCO World Heritage Prosecco hills, and you have a special view of the imposing walls of the Dolomites rising to the north.
The return to your car will lead you along Val Mariec among the tall beech forests to reunite with the dirt road that returns toward Col d’Artent at the height of Col dei Piatti.
A long loop but not particularly challenging that will take you from one side to the other of the ridge of the Belluno Prealps.
