Our excursion starts from Lake Vedana, a small body of glacial water located in the municipality of Sospirolo.
Following the road of the Mis valley among old tunnels, we first reach Pian della Falcina, a wide area with large parking lots that is very crowded during the summer, until we arrive at the end of the lake where we find the jewels of the Dolomiti Bellunesi Park: the Soffia waterfall and the extraordinary Cadini del Brenton.
An easily accessible path leads to a sequence of 15 deep cavities carved by the waters of the Brentòn stream, which plunges from clear little waterfalls. These wonderful erosion pots, located in the heart of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, amaze with the beauty of their colors and the perfection of their shapes.
In the immediate vicinity, it is also possible to take an additional equipped path that leads to the suspended terrace over the Soffia Waterfall: 12 meters of water that plunges into a gorge equipped with a small bridge and several tunnels carved in the underlying cave (accessible only if the lake is dry).
Here, a short walk and a stop at the “La Soffia” Osteria is a must before resuming our tour towards the “Camolino” dairy and the Simo Farm where many local products can be found.
