The home-cooked meals offer guests simple and traditional dishes, particularly the “famous trio of dumplings” and those made with nettles stuffed with gorgonzola topped with a cream of cheeses and nuts.

Being one of the few refuges accessible only on foot, our supplies rely on helicopter transport or carry-over from the Zsigmondy-Comici refuge .

For water supply, we have a spring that feeds the small body of water located at the foot of Croda dei Toni, known as Lago Nero.

The refuge is situated in the heart of the grand and wild rocky amphitheater formed by the eastern cliffs of Croda dei Toni and Monte Giralba di Sopra. From this wonderful balcony, you can enjoy a vast panorama towards Croda di Ligonto, the Crissin, Bivera, and Cridola groups all the way to the Monfalconi. Then, it is just a matter of reaching the nearby Giralba pass to enjoy an equally stunning view towards the Fiscaline peaks, Cima Undici, Popera, and the amphitheater of Alta Val Fiscalina.
