COL DE VARDA
Conveniently accessible by chairlift for those passing through who wish to enjoy the genuine flavors of typical dishes, or via dirt road, for those who want to take a walk in the midst of unspoiled nature.
Here, a stunning panorama opens up, ranging from the Marmarole to Sorapiss, from Marmolada to Tofane, to Cristallo, and up to the Torre dei Scarperi of Sesto, while behind are the Cadini group with various climbing opportunities.
Starting point of the Bonacossa trail that, crossing the Cadini via the Forcella di Misurina and the Forcella del Diavolo, reaches the Fonda Savio Refuge, continuing towards the Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
The Col De Varda Refuge can be a stopover and overnight stay point for those traversing the Alta Via delle Dolomiti number 4, or for a leisurely walk of about an hour to reach the Città di Carpi Refuge.
The Refuge is open even during the winter season for skiing enthusiasts, with slopes always perfectly snow-covered or for lovers of "ciaspe" (snowshoes) or ski mountaineering.
