Rifugio Coldai
The Adolfo Sonino Refuge at Coldai, commonly known as Refuge Coldai, is a historic alpine refuge located at the foot of Mount Civetta, in the heart of the Val di Zoldo and the Belluno Dolomites. It was built in 1905 on the initiative of the Venice section of the Italian Alpine Club, expanded in 1931 thanks to the contribution of the Sonino family, and dedicated to the memory of the climber Adolfo Sonino. After being burned down in 1944, it was rebuilt and reopened in 1948.

Since 1968, the refuge has been managed by the De Zordo-Della Putta family, who over the course of four generations have maintained a strong connection to this place and the tradition of hospitality at altitude.

The refuge offers rooms for 2 and 4 guests with bunk beds and larger dormitories, all equipped with duvets and blankets. The restrooms are shared on the same floor, while a hot shower is available for a fee. Outside, there is also a bivouac that can be used even during the winter closure period.

The location of Refuge Coldai makes it a reference point for hikers and climbers traversing the trails in the Civetta area and Val di Zoldo, providing a stopping point and overnight accommodation immersed in the landscape of the Belluno Dolomites.
