Adventure vacations for children

Adventure Vacations For Children

Serenity, tranquillity and fun: that is what parents look for in a family vacation that meets the needs of the little ones but can offer adults excitement for as well.
A place that stimulates the child’s growth, allows him to safely explore nature, increase his independence, and thus develop self-esteem. At the same time, a spectacular, rejuvenating destination that can amaze adults with breathtaking scenery and a wealth of excursions but immersed in a slow pace of life.

The Dolomites in Belluno is the right place for your mountain vacation, to experience the joy of adventure together: the Tibetan bridge, your first attempts at climbing, discovering the snow, meeting animals, legends, sliding downhill with life preserver doughnuts, snowmobiles. There is nothing more serious than playing!

In the Dolomites in Belluno, family vacation paradise, children are paid attention and allowed many experiences to practise in total safety. Playing is the common thread of mountain exploration through the five senses. Playing to discover your limits and your courage to overcome them; playing as curiosity, as a way of learning and being in harmony with the environment.

Summer and winter are adventure-packed times for children who can do exciting, surprising, and educational activities together. Away from everyday city life, in less crowded locations still guided by natural and sustainable rhythms of life, the little ones can immerse themselves in a new environment that is as spectacular as it is authentic, get exercise, take in rural culture, and learn new sports.

Among the many facilities, we would like to point out some, including organised activities and Adventure Parks:

In Val di Zoldo, summer puts the little ones at the centre. For Children’s Green WeekExternal link free daily activities are organised by area tour operators in July and August. In a beautiful setting between Monte Pelmo and Monte Civetta, they can learn about traditions, legends, respect for the environment, and love of nature. You only have to make reservations.
Among the activities you will be able to find: "How to make a real alpine cheese," "Learning to climb safely with the assistance of an experienced mountain guide," "Getting to know donkeys, cows and horses and all the farm animals," "Storytelling forest walks with gnomes." If it rains, no problem: there are numerous educational workshops indoors but no less fun.

In Falcade, Val del Biois, Kids ActiveExternal link is a program organised by the Ski School for your children to have a fun summer vacation. From ages 5 to 12, each child will find a favourite activity from the wide range: learning to climb, the mountain hut of Heidi’s grandfather, discovering history at World War I sites. During the months of June, July, and August you can let your children actively experience the mountains in complete safety supervised by entertainers and specialised guides. Maximum flexibility lets you choose individual days or the whole week.
In winter Week4Kids is a skiing holiday week created just for teens and children to learn to ski or perfect their skills by combining school, shows and games on the snow. Finally, at the end of August, the Week 4 Kids Summer Edition: a week entirely dedicated to children ages 4 to 12 with safe hikes on Focobon peaks and geological trails to discover fossils at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites.

Ally Farm Summer is a nature park at Piani di Pezzè. A play area in the heart of the Dolomites surrounding Alleghe, it is surrounded by nature and designed for the whole family. As much as 4000 sqm to experience the connection between man and nature in a fun and relaxing way.
It is an experience based on the search for balance, both physical and psychological, thanks to slacklines, boulder areas and barefoot sensory trail (slacklining is staying balanced on a line fastened to two trees; bouldering is climbing without a rope on low walls with mattresses as cushion if you fall and barefooting is walking barefoot). Also, the new summer tubing track: seated in small life preserver doughnuts you slide fast down a slope that replicates the thrill of snow tubing (which you can try in winter at Ally Farm Winter).
And a short distance away is the famous Civetta Adventure Park for older children.

On to the picturesque Cadore area to tell you about the Caralte Adventure Park, which offers 5 routes immersed in nature with different difficulties. Parents and teens, with harness, carabiners, pulley, and helmet, will be able to test themselves suspended in the air in total safety. For the little ones, fun is guaranteed on trampolines, in the water balls for walking while floating on water, and with small boats for sailing on the little pond.
Also in Cadore, in the San Vito Ski Area, we find Neve Sole ParkExternal link. Located near the ski lifts, it offers adventure and fun in the snow for the little ones. Nestled in a unique landscape at the foot of Monte Antelao, we find a slope for raft descents, a bob-sleigh and toboggan run, a school for learning to ski, organised babysitting service, mini club, and a kinderheim that organises workshops, group games, theatre activities, treasure hunts, and snow games.
