Departure for a trail in a beautiful coniferous forest of fir and Swiss pine, crossing the frozen lake of Bai de Dones.
With less than 250 meters of elevation gain, we reach the historic five Torri refuge, closed during the winter period, one of the oldest still in operation (inaugurated in October 1904), with a brief stop in the spacious hallway before continuing uphill to closely admire the five towers. We can approach the open-air war museum, a site of fierce clashes at the nearby border at the Valparola pass against the Austro-Hungarians. Soon we arrive at the Scoiattoli refuge and the arrival point of the Dolomiti Super Ski lifts.
