Under the Dolomites' Starry Sky

When the sun sets over the Dolomites, the sky transforms into an extraordinary spectacle. Saturday, August 8 at 9:00 p.m., the Helmut Ullrich Astronomical Observatory in Col Druscié, located at 1,800 meters above sea level over Cortina d'Ampezzo, opens its doors for an exclusive evening visit dedicated to the discovery of the universe.

Far from light pollution and immersed in one of the most enchanting landscapes of the UNESCO Dolomites, you will be able to observe through a modern telescope the Moon, stars, planets, nebulae, and other spectacular deep-sky objects, accompanied by experts from the Cortina Astronomical Association, who will guide the audience on a fascinating journey through science, myths, and curiosities of the cosmos.

Every observation is different: the sky changes continuously and offers always new emotions, making each evening an unrepeatable experience. Whether you are an astronomy enthusiast or simply wish to have a special moment under one of the clearest skies in the Alps, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
