The fourth edition of the review Traces of Foliage takes us straight into the chaotic whirlwind of falling leaves. With “Leaves of Autumn”, the focus is entirely on them, a natural element rich in meanings, capable of accompanying autumn reflections, when the colors that take the place of green stimulate emotions and thoughts.
On Thursday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m., "Leaves of Autumn: from Memory to the Future with Antonio G. Bortoluzzi" will take place, a two-voice reflection with Laura Pontin on literature, landscape, and memory in the footsteps of the words that tell the story of the Belluno mountains.
The writer, who will dialogue with the director of the Civic Library, Laura Pontin, will metaphorically bring to the stage the sheets on which he writes. These are sheets that, just like leaves, change color: when they are white and empty, they are intimidating, as they confront us with that demanding and magical journey that is writing: it requires listening, attention, dedication, care.
When, finally, the words are found and written on the sheets, they come alive and take on all the colors of the stories they tell.
It is a miracle to witness, as on those sheets the narrated life becomes a shared treasure, a heritage delivered forever to memory. The past becomes, first, present and then future.
Like the leaves that, while falling, tell those who watch them their story and then, on the ground, remain life that lasts and resists, timeless.
