Summer meeting in Cortina d'Ampezzo

The Soroptimist International of Italy and the Club of Cortina d’Ampezzo invite all national Clubs to participate in the Summer Meeting 2026, a special opportunity to gather and share moments of culture, conviviality, and social commitment in the extraordinary setting of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Friday, August 7, departing at 9:00 a.m. from the Hotel de la Poste, the program includes a visit to the Eyewear Museum in Pieve di Cadore, unique in the world, which houses over 6,000 pieces and tells seven centuries of the history of optics and eyewear. The day will continue with a stop at the historic Caffè Tiziano and a visit to the Church of Sant’Orsola in Vigo di Cadore, a precious funerary chapel from the 14th century, listed among the Wonders of Italy and famous for its extraordinary cycle of frescoes dedicated to the life of the saint. Lunch will follow at the Ristorante Al Capriolo in Vodo di Cadore.

Saturday, August 8, departing at 9:30 a.m. from the Hotel de la Poste, after an optional walk in the meadows of the Convent or transfer to Salieto, participants will be welcomed at the historic residence of Rachele Padovan, the famous Ampezzana cook who transformed her home into a renowned meeting place frequented by personalities like Ernest Hemingway, Dino Buzzati, Filippo de Pisis, Franco Zeffirelli, and Vittorio Gassman between the 1940s and 1990s. Lunch will follow at the Birreria Forst in the center of Cortina.

The event will conclude with a charity Burraco Tournament at the Hotel Corona. The proceeds will support the project of the Cortina Club dedicated to the prevention and awareness of bullying and cyberbullying aimed at students and the community.

An appointment that combines the pleasure of meeting with the discovery of the territory, among tradition, culture, and solidarity.
