Discover moreThe Sestiere of Zuel organizes the Summer Course 2026, a program dedicated to children residing in the Sestiere, designed to introduce the little ones to the world of athletics through play, movement, and outdoor activities.
The course will start on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at the Prato della Fioretta, in the locality of Zuel in Cortina d'Ampezzo, and will be followed by coaches Sabrina Boldrin and Giorgia Pompanin, with support from Jessica Pavon and Alberto Pompanin.
The activities will take place:
- Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Friday from 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
The course is open to children residing in the Sestiere born from 2020. It is sufficient for one of the two parents to be residing in the Sestiere.
To participate, the following is required:
- for those 12 years and older: medical certificate for competitive sports – athletics;
- for those under 12 years: medical certificate indicating “non-competitive sports activity.”
Medical exams complete with stress electrocardiogram are free for youth aged 12 (born from 2014) to 18 (born in 2008). For children under 12, it is possible to:
- undergo a medical examination with stress test;
- or present a certificate from their physician with resting electrocardiogram.
In this latter case, a copy of the certificate must be submitted to the Sestiere.
The Cortina Cooperative will apply a 20% discount on the purchase of running shoes for registered children.
Participants will be able to take part in the Cadorino Championship trials:
- Vallesella (track) – May 3
- Borca (mountain) – May 10
- Pelos (cross-country) – May 17
- Cortina (track) – May 24
- San Vito (road) – May 31
Children born from 2020 are eligible to participate.
The Sestiere of Zuel is part of the historical territorial divisions of Cortina d'Ampezzo, a reality that still today promotes sports, social, and recreational activities dedicated to the local community. (regole.it)
